OSS means bone in French.

About five years ago, I stepped into a crosswalk and got hit by an SUV. I was dragged fifty feet before the man realized he’d hit someone and stopped. I broke several bones.

I fractured four ribs, a vertebrae, my tail bone and my left femur. I had a metal rod in my leg for three years. My point is not for you to feel bad for me because considering the circumstances I am very blessed; it’s to that I developed a connection to my bones. I had to visualize and meditate to make my femur unionize (come together). Bones hold the stories of our lives. They are sacred artifacts.

At the same time, I am a very earthy person. I am a hippie yoga chick with lots of earth in her chart. I collect feathers and love to walk barefoot in the forest. I strongly believe in animal spirits and animal medicine. If you see an animal you don’t usually see, like skunk in the yard or a coyote during a hike, remember that they have a message to share. It’s your decision to acknowledge this or not.

I developed insomnia after my accident and someone suggested I try to make jewelry. Actually it was a psychic who saw me making jewelry at night; she suggested it would be meditative. Ha! i laughed.

About seven months later I came across an African goat horn. I was drawn to put it around my neck. I looked up a goat’s healing properties and felt really connected. Not to mention that I am a Capricorn. And it organically grew out of that.

Wearing a bone, or a fossil or a horn is not to be taken lightly; it must be done with respect and understanding for each piece holds the particular healing energy and symbolism of the animal being honored. I ask permission from the animal and incorporating ceremonial meditation into the process of creation. I hope that my jewelry combines beauty with gratitude and respect.

I custom make jewelry to fit your tastes. Let the animal medicine call out to you...
I can answer any questions you want and I am here to work with you to create a power piece.
