Some artists are inspired by desire; others are driven by need, I on the other, other hand, float by on imagination. Not to say that I am not inspired, because I truly am; my jewelry is completely inspired and sparked by my best friend Brooke (brookemarton here on etsy) whom has been an integral part of my life since we were the tender age of twelve. I can honestly say that since our seed bead days, that she has been the one who started all my jewelry forays ^_^

My plush animals are born from childhood nostalgia: days of simple toys and enchanted stories that created a blank canvas for my imagination to paint, in understated, childish ways, a wonderland of unreality and an escape from toys that could be one thing and one thing only. Cardboard castle-building, shower curtain stage doors, the illusion of the grandiose by way of the ordinary. I hope that my plush toys can be the screen for your child's imagination, their whims and flights of fantasy projected and changed over time, never the same story twice. As a diving board into the depth of my creative pool, Waldorf toys are both an inspiration and sometimes a rough starting point of my softies.

"Carroll referred to photography as devotion, entertainment, fascination, practice, chief interest, and his "one amusement."
That is precisely what photography is to me, as well :)
I graduated from the Maryland College of Art and Design with a degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Photography and Painting, and stayed there for 3 years more, teaching children and teens art classes (mainly photography). The viewfinder of my various Nikon cameras is my prescription lens that lets me see the world clearly.

I am currently a student at Towson University double majoring in Earth Space sciences with a concentration in Secondary Education, and Illustration with a minor in Asian studies, and all these themes inspire and influence my crafty, artsy urges and projects!

How to sow Beans. ‘One for the mouse, One for the crow, One to rot, One to grow.’
--How I sell my stuff-- One for me (the one pictured) and one for you, possibly one for a mouse too. My earrings are displayed on a door on my 108 year old victorian house and I am ok with that, your earrings on the other hand will NEVER, ever touch my rustatsic door hardware! PROMISE! ha
