Bio

I'm Jillian Lukiwski. I'm also The Noisy Plume.
I am indeed Canadian and reside in beautiful Idaho (the best kept secret of the United States of America).

I started silversmithing in 2005 and have since been building the courage to show the world the things I can make (the smallest and grandest ideas of my heart). I hold an AA with a jewelry emphasis after taking classes at both the University of Saskatchewan in my hometown of Saskatoon, Canada...as well as courses taken at Mohave Community College of Arizona. I am currently a student at Idaho State University where I am slowly and happily chipping away at the rest of my BFA.

I cannot live without: running, silver, stone
I can live without: vermin
I abhor: exclusivity, small spaces, the smell of cats

MISSION STATEMENT:
I firmly believe that there is an inherent need in every woman to experience beauty and to feel beautiful. It’s part of who we are! We like to see gorgeous things, we like to dress up, we like to preen, we like to discover the perfect things in this world that give us a little shimmer and twinkle. I’m bringing to you a handful of noisy little plumes of luscious beauteousness. Enjoy, be stunning, and be well. More importantly, cultivate your inner beauty and let it spread outward towards the surface of your skin!

BORING BUT IMPORTANT STUFF:
I do not use any silver toned metals that are not .925 sterling silver. Ever. My material supplier provides me with reclaimed sterling (also known as pre-produced metal) and I've been buying from them for nearly 4 years, happily. I also try my hardest to use natural stones as opposed to laboratory stones that have been made by human beings instead of the earth. When I say that I have created something from scratch it includes the actual design of the piece. That too is mine and has been developed in my mind, and then on paper through sketching, and then at my work bench…from scratch. These things I guarantee you. I do not take my ideas from the work of others. It is my own. Entirely. In point of fact, I try to avoid looking at the work of other silversmiths and metalsmiths because I do not want my designs to be influenced by what my eyes may see. I call this guarding my inspiration. If you're an artist, you should too.

RING SIZING:
When buying a ring, please be 100% sure of the ring size you need! There are a few ways to discover what the sizes of your fingers are, and most of them can be found at this website (copy and paste this address into your browser please):
