Creating handmade goods, particularly from renewable sources,such as bits of fabric, scrap trim, or simply reviving a beloved and well-worn jacket with decorative flim-flam from my scrap heap makes me happy. A favorite skirt or jacket can get instant loads of personality with a few stitches.
