Art....a common theme in my life. From child to adulthood a paint brush or pair of pliers has found its way into my hands. I have taken many art classes throughout my life, but what seems to capture my spirit the most is Lampworking.

I have a bachelor degree in Speech Therapy, however my heart has led me to this medium. Lampworking is a combination of sculpting, color harmony, designing, balance, and for me...spirituality.

Glass has a mystical quality to it, like a morning speck of dew that captures the light in life. In its fluid state it is malleable and able to capture the feeling of the moment. The difference between a dew drop and glass is that glass can capture and preserve feelings and energies of the artist in that moment.

Each piece of jewelry I make starts with the intention to capture feelings of balance and expression I can share with the world. Using my knowledge of Gem Lore, I pair the colors and textures of the glass with special stones which aid in this process. The end result is a piece of jewelry that is made from what I call "Beads of Balance".
