Bio

My name is Cindy Iverson, and I am the photographer-in-residence at Rosehaven Cottage.

I am attracted to photographing vignettes of pure and un-enhanced timeless Americana and botanicals. I prefer to use available light and capture moments of what I call "photographic serendipity". Because very little of my images are staged, my photographic work always has a story behind it. I can look back through my portfolio and recall when and where each photo was taken and why I took it. I often feel fortunate to have been in the right place at the right time to click the shutter and create a photographic image that captures the essence and the mood of where I was and what I was feeling. Each image is a captured memory.

Because of this personal philosophy of capturing "moments of serendipity", I attempt to perform as little digital post-production enhancement as possible. If I do perform post-production enhancement, it is to create a specific mood or look that will further showcase the subject of the image.
