Crafts have been a passion of mine since I was an awkward kid with bad hair and a peculiar name. I found encouragement and comfort through creative expression which has become a lifelong endeavor. This includes sewing, print making/embossing, collage, and sculpture (paper mache and diorama).

The craftwork you see here is achieved by hand using all of the upcycled materials I can get my hands on...and a little ingenuity.

I value the true art in creating sustainable products and make every effort to use repurposed/post-consumer recycled* materials where possible to create interesting and functional art.

I am a perpetual nerd and enjoy books, zines, and other ephemera. I appreciate a DIY aesthetic and strive to support indie artists. Until we become a paperless society once and for all I am poised with my rotary cutter and xacto blades prepared to transform old newspaper, magazines, and paper bags into something new and useful.

As Tolstoy once expressed, "Art is not a handicraft, it is the transmission of feeling the artist has experienced."

*Always wondered what “post-consumer recycled” really means? 100% post consumer (pc) recycled paper is made entirely from the paper that is discarded into recycling bins by consumers everyday. Recycled paper that is less than 100% pc recycled means that it is made in part out of scraps from the paper mill. While this promotes good utility of these leftovers, to truly affect the environment 100% pc papers and papers made from tree-free alternatives such as bamboo are essential!
