Bio

We're settled in one of the many picturesque farmhouses we've lived in over a long married life--and it's the answer to prayers. We've been in NC almost 15 years, and finally got the one we wanted within walking distance of family, the grand kids, the dogs & cats...and of course, sheep.

Only thing wrong with this house is the loom room!
It's too small, too dark, and too full. But it does manage to hold my 'hand assembled' rug loom, the Nilus, the Triangle loom, and my new Sprang loom. The Sprang is hand made by the Boss and I'm doing a sample--in prep for the creation of an authentic, period correct Revolutionary War Officer's sash. And I'm going to get to work with crimson silk. Can't wait!

I guess I love weaving for the busy hands--I've never learned to spin and don't want to dye yarn--just want to weave, the old fashioned way. I've only been weaving for about 20 years, and I still learn something every day. Makes life fun!

In our Etsy store we plan to offer fiber lovers such things as home grown fleeces, raw wool, washed wool, hand dyed fleece, handspun wool yarns heavy enough for rugs, and some knitting yarns. Plus SJ's hand woven rugs and blankets and her felted fiber art,and MJ's rugs, table top runners, wall hangings, some knitted items and anything else we can come up with to share with you.

We just hope that you enjoy it as much as we do.
