Bio

Ettu is what happens when an only child spends her formative years making out with craft supplies and books. These days she's a mama of two and still a craft nut...making things is what makes me tick.

I especially enjoy making children's clothing, a world that's almost completely free from fashion rules. Kids want generous dollops of crazy color, and no one wags a finger when they wear their stripes in the wrong direction. I gravitate toward simple design and like to let my repurposed fabrics and notions make the statement.

About what I do here on Etsy:

I purchase high quality, gently used thrift clothing for use in most of my pieces. All items are washed and browsed for stains before they are cut.

*The good news--Ripping up the cast off clothing of others generally makes each ettu piece a one of a kind original.

*The bad news (?)--This usually means I won't be able to duplicate what you see here in another size. However, I am more than happy to hunt down new materials and customize just for you (see below).

*You will find some items in my shop made with new materials. Those listings are noted as such.


Customizing:

Yes! I can customize (depending on garment style) through kids' size 6. We'll chat to determine what your preferences are, then before I cut you will have fabrics to view and choose from. You will be made aware of any change in pricing before I cut as well.

Shipping:

*I ship my items via USPS Priority Mail. If you prefer to save a few dollars and don't need your purchase right away, let me know and I'll send it 1st class and forward a revised invoice or process a refund.

*I will ship up to 4 items every day (domestically) for $5. Slightly higher charges apply for international orders...feel free to send a convo if something looks not quite right.

*Shipping is FREE on domestic orders of $50 or more (Charges refunded after transaction, or convo me for details on how to avoid an overcharge). Again, international orders may incur a small charge, but that figure will be established beforehand.

Other:

I am trade friendly and amenable to wholesale agreements. Sorry, no out-of-town consignment at this time.
