Bio

Contemporary yet timeless”, this is what I strive for. My art is hard to categorize, and even more difficult to explain.
While for most, collage is a free uninhibited form of self-expression through varied textural mediums. Mine appears to be more reserved, more constrained, a series of fairly conventional portraits and landscapes of ordinary people and places, but it runs much deeper.
Each face tells a story, each location is interpreted into a new world. When I sit down with my exacto knife to prepare a new piece, I like to think that instead of creating a bird’s eye view of my world, I am creating a child’s eye view.
A child that is wondering through utter darkness, with a high-powered, highly concentrated flashlight, but for this child, it is not a world of fear, but a world of astonishment, and discovery. Each object manmade or natural is a monument. Each face holds an expression that can never be properly put into words. These are the blessings of children, for them the mundane is a wondrous world.
To put my work into a category of medium or into an artistic movement is not insulting. After all, it is human nature to put things into groups. It is simply an inability to recognize that some things are simply beyond full description. For my art stems from my soul, and we have yet to capture and measure such a thing.

all of my collages are aproxamitly 16 by 20 inches, and are made of high quality paper to insure that the out live me.
each stone sculpture is made by hand with only hand tools to insure that my passion is in every swing of the hammer

i do take commisions, i charge $200 for the first head and then $100 a head after that, so a couple will cost $300 instead of $400,
stone gets more complicated, just contact me
