Bio
At the age of six, I found a box of buttons in my Granny's sewing bench, and I fell in love with old things. Every aging button, bottle, or square of fabric carries a rich story of the journey it has taken. Sometimes I know these stories, and other times they remain a mystery. Either way, they stir ideas for creating something fresh out of something aged.
I started my business, Grandmother's Button Box, as a street vender in Chicago. You can still find me at the six corners in the Whicker Park neighborhood. Stop by and you might find a pair of earrings made out of antique buttons, a vase embellished with vintage fabric, or candles wearing feathers and pearls. Whatever it is, I hope that it reminds you of your own stories, and excites you about passing them on one day.
