I am Sierra, also known as Folkmaiden. In my quest for meaning in this life, I have found my most comfortable niche in the place where art meets craft. Each piece of clothing sewn is an adventure, each crocheted or knitted accessory a journey, each skein of yarn spun a meditation. When I finish a project, I have such a great sense of satisfaction that I can't wait to make the next thing... it is addictive! I have learned, as an artist, to take risks, to go beyond my own capacity, past what my mind deems possible, surprising myself with every outrageous success!
What a rush! What the real rush is though, is seeing other people looking really cute in what I make.
