Marcusstratus's Profile

Bio

I'm a craftsman, a green man, a wizard, and most definitley, a college student (Art institute of Portland, apparel design). I've learned how to make things out of cloth, leather, metal, wood, and clay. Of that cloth is prolly my most common, with leather close behind.

I learned how to sew when I was 16 and I've made all sorts a manner of things since. I've done suits for the prom, hats, coats (oh jeeze! I've done alot of those), pants, et cetera. I use a 60 year old sewing machine and try all I can to make my clothes just as strong and as lifelong as it is.

I've just recently begun working with leather, still learning about it and everything. I've made shoes, bottle slings, watch bands, and briefcases. And it's not going to stop there.

My working with small metals (jewelry, sculpture, et cetera) has given me the most recognition though. I've gotten best of shows, first places, peoples choice awards, you name it. Prolly because I've had 7 semesters of it in High school (taking basic and advanced jewelry making many times)

I've taken a few years of wood working, making everything from tool boxes, tools, and chests of drawers. However, I'm currently without the ability to make things out of wood and I'm in the same situation as far as pottery goes.
