4thGenFiberArt's Profile

Bio

I am the fourth generation in a line of women with a passion for needle arts.
I learned to sew, knit, embroider and crochet at a young age and always have several projects going.
Knitting led to creating patterns and then to spinning, dyeing, and experimenting with whatever fiber I can get my hands on.

A few years ago I met weaver Sue Cagan of Valley Vogue and we began collaborating. You can see some of my yarn woven into shawls on her web site: http://www.valleyvogue.com/pages/deborah.html
You can also order shawl pins and handwovens there or at their new etsy store:
www.valleyvogue.etsy.com

When I am not knitting or crocheting, I work as a professional costumer.

My costume work has been published!
Belle Armoire Magazine March/April 2009 - Petite Couture. Mine is the lilac 1870's inspired dress also featured on my blog.

My yarn hangs in the Yarn Museum:

I am a member of the Western Mass Etsy Street Team
