My name is Rachael and my two passions are greyhounds and the fiber arts. My husband and I have two retired racers, Trillian and Viking, who were the inspiration for my line of collars. I began making collars as a way to give back to my adoption group. I live quite a distance from the main operations, so it is difficult to physically help out as often as I would like.

All my collars are created by me in my “craft room” aka the spare bedroom, after my day job as an actuary. My husband serves as quality control and you can rest assured that your collar will be top-notch, as he is very picky!

** TYPES OF COLLARS **
I create regular buckle collars and martingales, but I specialize in walking collars and slip-on tag collars.

A martingale is sometimes referred to as a safety-choke, or a greyhound collar. These collars feature an extra loop, which tightens the collar as it is pulled. These collars are ideal for sighthounds, whose heads are smaller than their necks. Martingales also make excellent training collars.

A walking collar is similar to a martingale in that it tightens by pulling on a loop. With a walking collar, the size of the loop is adjustable, instead of the portion that wraps around your dog’s neck. This makes taking the collar on and off easier than with a traditional martingale. If you choose to use a walking collar, you should have a separate collar to hold identification tags.

My tag collars are specifically designed for sighthounds to carry their identification. Tag collars should never be used with a leash, or to restrain your pet.

Each collar is made with strong nylon webbing and cast nickel hardware. Each collar is lined with either plush moleskin, shiny flannel-backed satin, or a smooth satin ribbon. Every stress point is stitched with strong, rot-proof upholstery thread. Every item is created in a smoke free home.

** SIZING **
Every collar is customizable, but I do offer standard sizing:
XS: 7–11 inches
S: 10-15 inches
M: 13-18 inches
L: 15-20 inches
XL: 18-23 inches

Standard tag collar sizes are 16”, 17” and 18”. The standard size for a walking collar fits necks 14 inches and larger.

** CARE **
Please inspect your collars for signs of wear, and discontinue use if they become unsafe in any way.

All Fiber Hounds collars are washable. Hand or machine wash on delicate in cool or warm water. Let air dry.

** SHIPPING **
I ship with USPS, so insurance is available. Please convo me. Pre-made items are shipped within 2 business days. Custom orders may take an additional 1-3 days to ship.

** RETURN POLICY **
You can return your collar for a full refund if there are any construction defects. Please notify me within 14 days of receiving the collar. I cannot guarantee refunds for incorrect size ordered, or if you simply change your mind. However, if you are unsatisfied in any way, please contact me within 14 days. I will try my best to work something out.

Wisconsin residents will be charged 5.5% state and county sales tax.
