I am a Social Worker in by day and an obsessed crafter by night. Sewing is my meditation and what keeps me healthy at work :)

I stumbled upon Etsy in September 2007 and it was love at first sight. Not only are there amazing things for sale but the entire concept speaks loudly to me. I feel that Etsy and Indie crafts are a form of social justice that our capitalist society can truly be down with. What's not to love about buying unique, handmade things that small children in under developed countries didn't have to literally slave over (ok, my soapbox is done).

As for my bags, I think I love edgy stuff that I can still get away with carrying because I have to be such a professional during the day. I think I make my bags more for myself but I gotta say that I love the idea of making someone else happy with my funky stuff.
