5 years ago I designed the "KangaKat" bag for myself to carry all my stuff and some kids stuff(camera,calendar,MP3,snacks,phone,sunglasses,glasses,book,paper,meds,bandaids,assorted toys, stocking cap,water,socks,mints,gum,etc,etc,)...I have redesigned and modified it to be the complete masterpiece I think it is today! I consider it my flagship bag. I have a passion for sewing these bags that I just cannot explain. I liken them to bags made at high end outdoor stores, but these are not mass produced in China! They are pretty and work hard. I have expanded to many other styles as my friends and family have requested different styles, ribbon, or color combos.
They are truly wonderful bags and I would not sell them if I wouldn't carry them myself!!
-My KANGA Kat is aprox 32 inches around with 6 outside pockets and 2 inside ones. It is 12 inches high. The base is round. It is roomy without being too bulky. I find it VERY user friendly and convienent.
-My JOURNEY Kat is very similiar to the Kanga but built on a oblong base and has 2 front and 2 back long pockets and smaller side ones. I sometimes make this with a zipper top.
-My HAPPY Kat I used to call my messenger type bags but have changed them to the Flap Kat.This bag is my newest design and I LOVE IT!! It is 36 inches around with flat slash pockets on the back. The front has 4-6inch wide pockets across. The base is a D shape the pocket front being the rounded part so the flat back rests against you. It is my largest bag, roomy, good sized pockets. Great as a diaper bag or large purse/tote. I carry it everywhere and have it stuffed with the items I use throughout my day. Then I just pull out my wallet for a quick run into the store.
-My FLAP Kat is a bag of varying sizes that is the "messenger" style, made small and big!
-My LIL Kat is just that...little and tidy room for the essentials (cash,card,phone,lipstick!)
-My ZIPPY Kat is a larger version of Lil Kat with contrast pockets to add more carrying room.
-My INDY Kat is a slim purse with a 2 outside pockets. Small and streamlined.
I have made other styles and types and often get a creative inspiration to do something and will post them when I do but for now this is my "line"
