Bio

I've been making lampwork beads and jewelry since 1999. I was a quilter and an oil painter before that, but making beads is the most consistent fun I have ever had. My studio is in my home and my hubby is my right hand man. He will get me a Starbucks whenever I need one, and he always cleans my beads :)
Beadmaking came to me at a time in my life when I needed diversion. My children were grown and the house was feeling very empty. I knew the moment that I wound that first piece of molten glass on that mandrel that I had found my bliss. It allowed me to use my love of color in ways I could never imagine possible. Nine years later this artform continues to consume me. Making beads that look like minature watercolor gardens is my favorite stlye and one I continue to pursue. It is truly a little piece of heaven for me :)
