CoupCoup's Profile

Bio

I currently attend law school in downtown Boston. I also went to Brandeis University for undergraduate school, which is in the Boston area. I majored in politics.

I began making jewelry when a friend at Brandeis, the president of a club called "Bling", invited me to attend a crochet wire jewelry course. I was hooked (no pun intended). I continued to crochet wire jewelry for a year but began to find it limiting, at which point I began exploring beading and various wire techniques.

Since then, making jewelry and working with my hands have become my favorite form of stress relief. All the frustration and anxiety that law school causes me get funneled through my hands where they turn into pure, creative energy. It's a beautiful thing.

I have also been knitting since I was 5, and would like to one day open a second Etsy shop titled "Emma Lee Textiles" since my first name is Emily.

I pride myself on making unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. I imagine that each of my pieces has an individual personality to fit the individual personality of a single wearer. For this reason I love to work on commission, and I also enjoy the challenge. If you like my work but don't find exactly what you want, or if you're curious to ask questions about any of my pieces here, please feel free to contact me.

I am happy to work with my customers to make sure that they are pleased with their purchases and gifts. I offer perpetual repairs and adjustments. I am also careful to package my pieces so that they are not damaged in transit.

I am always eager to learn new things. I have recently begun incorporating silk flowers into my work, so keep checking back to see these pieces as they are completed. I also hope to incorporate more textiles (see my cashmere cuffs) in the future, and to branch into felted jewelry and resin jewelry at some point, especially bangle bracelets, an accessory I myself wear daily and just can't get enough of.
