Bio

I live in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains in West Virginia. Born and raised in western Canada, I moved here about ten years ago. I own the Purple Fiddle Coffeehouse, a successful cafe and traditional music venue.
I have been sewing and creating new things out of scraps of nothing since I was a child.I bought my first Kenmore when I was eight and while I still use it faithfully I now have graduated to four machines, mostly because I hate to be slowed down by changing thread. I spend most of my free time, and whenever I can sneak away from my four homeschooled children, in my studio immersed in a land of texture and color. That is where I am my true self. Enjoy looking!
