-Basic Bead Stringing: necklaces and bracelets

Learn how to approach bead stringing with an emphasis on proper finishing techniques, working with color and texture, and multiple-strand designs. Quickly create jewelry to match your wardrobe! Materials not included in class fee. Be sure to request the materials list from the PAS office.
-Wire Wrapping: necklaces, earrings, bracelets
February 2, 9, 23
3 Tuesdays
6:30 to 9pm
max 15 students
For beginners or those who need a refresher, this wire wrapping class starts with learning how to form basic links with pliers, wire, and beads. Learn to incorporate chain into your designs, make headpins, and cap briolette top-drilled beads. Materials not included in class fee. Be sure to request the materials list from the PAS office.
-Knotting: necklaces and bracelets

Whether you want to restring your grandmother's pearls or create a more modern piece, this class covers three methods of knotting and how to attach clasps. We'll start with traditional knotting, create an intricate multi-strand project, and end on "space knotting" with floats of thread between beads. Materials not included in class fee. -Jewelry Making: Beginning level

Learn the basics of jewelry making in this creative class for beginners. We will start with designing stringing projects, move on to working with wire to link beads, and how to add chain. We will also cover three different knotting methods: basic knotting, multi-strand clusters, and floating pearl space knotting. Through this course you will learn many techniques to accomplish your own designs for necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. Materials not included in class fee. Be sure to request the materials list from the PAS office.
-Jewelry Making: Intermediate Wire
9/16-10/7
4 Wednesdays
6:30 to 9pm
For students with prior experience in wire wrapping. Learn to make your own simple or embellished ear wires, "S" clasps, and hook and eye clasps in this class focused solely on wire techniques. Other lessons include forming spiral links, working with jigs, wire wrapping with multiple wires to cage beads, and forming herringbone wrapped bezels around beads. Materials not included in class fee. Be sure to request the materials list from the PAS office. |
