Art is a driving force in my life. It gives me purpose and validation... I am an artist. Absorbing myself into a project, using my right brain to escape all the analytical aspects of my left-brain life, keeps me sane.

I'm a Graphic Artist by trade (see my graphics portfolio at http://LoriSampson.com.) Although I love that part of art, fine art is a much more tranquil endeavor for me. I work in many mediums, including digital.

I live in Minnesota but I'm a native of Indiana where I grew up on a small farm. Although I currently live in a large metropolitan area, nature, animals and pets are never far from my thoughts and often are the subjects for my art.

Cats are also a large part of both my life and my art. They help to bring a piece of that elusive tranquility to everyday living. I've fostered over 130 rescued cats. My permanent cat population has now aged making any change in environment too stressful, so in consideration for them I currently don't foster.
