OccidentalOriental's Profile

Bio

Once upon a time, I was a scientist - a visual neuroscientist to be precise. I was always more of a philosopher in a lab coat than a brain surgeon, though. I have two degrees in disciplines very far removed from my true love, which is art.

An ongoing medical condition has had the happy side effect of making me reevaluate my life choices, and I have decided to pursue more creative ventures from now on.

Occidental Oriental Flowers is my second commercial venture (the first is Crochety Creatures at http://missterrigirl.etsy.com), which came about as a result of of my enduring love of all things Japanese.
