ABOUT ME
My name is h.a.sullivan. I have recently moved back to Ottawa from Toronto. While in Toronto I successfully completed my Bachelor of Fine Arts, Visual Arts with honours at York University. Professionally I have worked in marketing and have been accepted into an MBA starting in August 2008 (yippi!). As an artist I have frequently painted on commission, in my previous position I was commissioned to complete a series entitled “Above & Beyond”. The images of these paintings were used throughout the year in a corporate postcard campaign and are now for sale in my shop.

ARTISTIC BEGINNINGS
Creating art for me, began when I was very young and obsessively drew horses. I read “Misty” and “Silver Snaffles”, and they fired my imagination. Since that time my style and mediums have gradually evolved to explore abstraction, expression and impressions.

INSPIRATIONS
I have always adored the impressionists, including Degas and Monet. My abstract paintings are expressionistic. I love to paint in this style, as it is very liberating. I often write secret poems, thoughts or ramblings underneath my abstract paintings in charcoal. This creates interesting lines, smudges and, of course, secrets. My palette often includes soft vibrant colours in blues, greens and a splash of pink.

All sales are final. If artwork is lost or damaged in transit you will be protected by shipping insurance.

SHIPPING
The shipping listed for each artwork is an estimate. If the shipping costs to your destination are lower, I will refund you the difference. If the shipping costs are more, then I will pay the difference.

INSURANCE
Shipping will include insurance and tracking on all packages. Because of the fragile and large nature of my artwork I feel this is necessary to protect you and me.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
I would be happy to ship internationally. Please contact me directly and I will provide you with an estimate. International shipping will include: Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico etc.

PLEASE NOTE
I retain all copyright of artwork created by me, including any images on the Internet and any photographs of the painting in your possession. If you wish to use an image or photograph of any artwork created by me please obtain my written authorization.
