I've been sewing ever since I took Home Ec class my senior year of high school. Two summers ago I decided to try quilting and started making quilted handbags. That's when sewing turned into a passion for me. Now I want to sew all of the time and fabric has taken over my house! LOL!

I love picking a design and the fabrics for my handbags. I usually only make two bags out of the same set of fabrics and I try to make sure each bag is different in some way.

I started making yoga mat bags after my oldest daughter started taking yoga last year. She would have to fight with her yoga mat every week to get the strap that came with the mat back on it. She could never roll the mat tight enough or hold the mat long enough to get the strap back on. I decided I could make her a bag for her yoga mat.

I made her a bag and she loves using it! She can loosely roll up her mat and it will easily fit in the bag. And this made me think that if it made her life easier, maybe one of my bags could make things easier for someone else. That's when I started making yoga mat bags to sell.
