I am Christy. I live in Plano TX with my wonderful husband and 3 pets (2 dogs and 1 cat). They all bring me joy.

The Plaid Mushroom got it's name from a Tshirt I once had as a child. Actually I don't remember the shirt, but I ended up with 6 boxes of photo's from years back and in it is a photo of me at maybe 3 years of age.

I am wearing a bright yellow Tshirt with a blue plaid mushroom top and yellow stem...I'm also wearing jeans with red rubber boots. What can I say, it was the 70's and I was too young to pick out my own clothes, but I did anyway. :) see: http://tinyurl.com/ynv3kv

The long of the short of it is that I thought it was adorable and wanted plaid mushrooms on everything. I created a plaid mushroom in photoshop, opened a cafepress shop and printed a tshirt with my plaid mushroom (same one from my banner).

I decided it was a great name for my shop and as my home lip balm business was growing thought it was a good time to open a shop and name it after the fun plaid mushroom.

The mushroom design has evolved into a fashionable icon of my brand. I'm excited to be selling The Plaid Mushroom creations here on etsy!
