Bio

Kathy ‘Mae’ Stalker was born and raised in the Pocono Mountains. After moving to Atlanta in 1998 she began creating metal yard art. While Mae enjoyed metalwork, she wanted to tell more of a story with her characters and that’s when she began painting.
Growing up with a waste not want not theory she began painting on non-traditional canvases, such as old ceiling tiles, wood trim and any sort of recycled items deemed worthy!
Mae is self-taught and her style has been described as whimsical, comical and inspirational. Many are drawn to her style of work for the simple message of home, companionship and loyalty. For her, getting the message out is half the battle and she feels it an honor to have that role.
Mae finds inspiration from being outside digging in the dirt and spending time with her herd of pets!
But if you ask her, it’s the love, respect and support from her husband that really makes this art warm and fuzzy!!!
