Welcome to Blossom Babies!
First a little bit about me:
I am a single mom of three and I have been living in Germany for eleven years. When I am not at my sewing machine (this would be during the daylight hours! :) ) I help manage a store.

I made my first doll for my oldest daughter when she was just a baby, and since then I‘ve been hooked! She is now thirteen years old but „Penny“ still hangs out on her bed and is still occaisionally needed as a kind listener when things go seriously wrong! Since then I have been sewing dolls and soft toys for all of my children and friends‘ children.

Now a little bit about Blossom Babies:

All dolls and soft toys from Blossom Babies are handmade with love and attention by me in my home.

What is a Waldorf Doll? - the Waldorf doll was developed out of the Waldorf educational tradition. It is made using natural materials like wool and cotton and uses techniques drawing on traditional European dollmaking. Doll features are intentionally kept simple in order to allow a child full reign of imaginative and creative play. For instance, a doll with little or no facial features can be awake or asleep, eat or drink, smile or cry. The softness of the cloth, warmth of the wool and the natural „aging process“ (in my home we call it the „loved-up-ness“) of the doll allows a child to bond with the doll and give it a very special place in its heart.

Attention folks with allergies! We have two cats in our home. The good news is I can purchase new materials, store and sew most products in a pet-free environment if requested (as a custom order and for an additional $7.00 fee) Delivery times for this would depend greatly on material availability and my lead time needed for production, but we would agree on in this in advance. If you need this service, please convo me BEFORE purchasing!

Washing instructions for dolls:
please spot wipe only with a damp towel, no or very little mild soap, DO NOT RUB. In a true emergency, partial immersion in mildly soapy, cool water should help, no agitation, and lie flat on towel to dry.
