Bio

As a kid I discovered the fun of making something by hand. I am the youngest of three girls in a single parent household. My mother made all of my sisters and my dresses in our younger years. As I helped her sew I learned that I had a skill that I never could lose. One of my first handmade items was a toy for my cat. This toy has evolved into The Cat-a-pult. I made clothes for myself and friends through middle and high school. In high school I learned that I could further my skills in college.
I went to Savannah College of Art and Design. This is were I learned that fabric is not just for making clothes. I took many fiber arts classes were I learned about printing and dyeing and weaving. These techniques are what I brought to my fabric painting.
