TheSecretPocket's Profile

Bio

I live to work with my hands.

My home business has, until now, been limited to sewing - dressmaking, alterations, and teaching.

Learning to spin changed everything!

My favorite type of knitting is Fair Isle and as you know, a Fair Isle knitter needs a huge stash of colors, each in relatively small amounts, from which to select. And Shetland, the traditional wool used in Fair Isle knitting, is easy and pleasant to spin, especially with a hand spindle, my personal weapon of choice.

But I discovered a definite lack of dyed Shetland rovings available in small, 1 ounce quantities.

Thus, I endeavor to bring you the best fibers for Fair Isle knitting, beautifully dyed in heathery colors intended to blend well with each other and with your yarns already in residence.

I've also listed my favorite original patterns. They include instructions, photos, and charts. But I encourage you to select the yarns and colors that make your own heart sing!
