Bio

I am a gatherer. Since I started looking down when I walk I have found that there are incredible unique materials everywhere! Steel washers ran over by cars on the street, machinery cogs under ski lifts in the spring, bailing wire along old 4WD roads. Other stuff I have to seek out, like used guitar strings from musician friends or bicycle brake cable from local bike shop backrooms.

I love rusted metal machinery stuff, and creating art not only allows me to channel this gathering habit into something more productive, but it also provides an example of creative reuse, allowing discarded items a renewed purpose and preventing the new acquisition of these materials from the earth.
