Bio

I am a 44 year old female reuniting with my childhood awe of color and texture. All of my creations are "rough around the edges" and reflect my love of nature, "primitive cultures", shiny things and toys. I do try and create pieces that will last for years because I am very upset with the current trend of a "disposable" culture.

I am working as a team with the writer of the book that inspired my dolls....:The Eyes of Time". He wrote and printed the books and I am selling both the "plain" book in its spiral form and one that is hand stitched and covered by me. The book will be offered alone or with the dolls. Each dolls is "One of A Kind" and anyone purchasing the doll and book together will get a cover with a picture of that doll on the cover.


The reason this book is so important to me and a large part of what I want to do with my life is that it tells the story of who I wished I was as a little girl. The girls in the book are creative, industries and strong. They are not judged on their appearance or what they own but what they can offer the group of their own unique strengths....they are not "brat dolls".

I think that females need more positive role-models and these girls became very real to me through their story. The author also did a great job of throwing in information about cultural anthropology. You are learning without having to read some dry text book.

I was a tomboy growing up and these girls get to play in the woods, exploring everyday. They create and observe and learn by trying new things. They do everything I wished I was doing while stuck in piano lessons. I think the book expresses something that is in many of our hearts...a desire to live independently and creatively and self sufficiently .
