Pagans Of Etsy Street Team - POEST - Led by AthenasDisciple
We are a group of crafters and artists on Etsy who all identify ourselves as Pagan. Some are more specifically Wiccan, Reconstructionist, Shamanistic, Druidic and so on. We do not limit our membership by location and so far have members in the USA, India and the UK. The main goal of the group is to support one another. Our group discussions are a place where you can talk about product ideas, local pagan shops, groups, events, and more.
Visit the Favorites on the right to find all of our members! You can also search the listings for PaganTeam to find our items and check out the items in the group store.
We promote within Etsy in the forums and also with occasional treasuries. We promote outside Etsy with Livejournal, MySpace, Facebook, Witchvox and more - please see our links for some other places you can find us.

Group Definition of Paganism:
Pagan is something hard to define - you will find many people who consider themselves as pagans to have different and sometimes contradictory definitions. This is how we define pagan for purposes of joining the group:
A pagan is someone that does not follow any of the major world religions such as Christianity, Judaism, or Islam. They are usually also polytheistic and/or pantheistic, an animist and feel a closer connection with the earth.
Pagan is also often used as an umbrella term for followers of several, unique spiritual groups, including, but not limited to:
Wicca, Reconstructionism, Druidism, Shamanism, Neo-paganism, Native American spirituality, Witchcraft, Shinto, Asatru, Hinduism, etc
Requirements to get into the group:
1. You must identify yourself as Pagan according to the definition above.
2. Apply to our Ning network at http://paganhandmadeteam.ning.com and fill out the membership application. The application survey has a few required fields and a few not required fields. We do this to find out more about you, and please note that only the group leader makes decisions to admit or not.
3. Wait. You should be approved pretty shortly -within a few days - but it can take a couple weeks to be listed everywhere, including as a favorite of the group store, listed in the street team page and in the group blog. Once you are approved you can upload photos, participate in forum discussions, friend members and so on. Be sure to check ou the Member Introductions section in the forums and say hello.
If you are denied (which has not happened yet), you will receive notice.
Guidelines for group members:
1. Remember that you must join the Ning network in order to belong to the street team - although there are no particapation requirements once you are in.
2. Please note that you are a member of the group in your profile and/or store - unless you have stated that you are In the Broom Closet (this is a fun term that we use to say we haven't told others in our lives about our spiritual beliefs - usually because we are avoiding any conflicts it may cause).
3. Please use PaganTeam on at least a couple of your items. These items cannot be of another religion (to avoid confusion for those looking for more pagan types of things) or mock another spiritual path of any kind. Please also stay away from tagging any X-rated items. Keep in mind that items getting into team treasuries rely heavily upon have the PaganTeam tag on them. Please also tag your items with colors, seasons, holidays, etc - those tags are often used for themed treasuries.
4. Please heart as many members in the group as you can, especially the new members and even more especially the members that are new to Etsy altogether. This is not required, but its a great way to help everyone out. :)
5. Always be respectful, courteous and positive to your fellow members. We are here to help one another succeed, and you really should also consider the other members to be potential customers, as well.
6. The leader reserves the right to remove people from the group and turn off ability to post to the blog and group discussions as necessary - but we hope this is never necessary. :)
