Bio

In my worklife, I strive for autonomy, and have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. As a child, I was always the one raking leaves, mowing lawns, cleaning houses, and washing windows for the neighbors to make spending money.

I have always been interested in the creative arts. I have been beading jewelry and creating things for others for as long as I can remember, and have dabbled in book binding, photography, pottery, knitting, sewing, and writing.

I love the natural world and attempt to tread softly on the environment to the fullest extent possible. I enjoy using natural fabrics and materials, and reflecting natural influences in my designs.

I usually try to include found, rescued, or otherwise soon-to-be-discarded items in my work. I find it thrilling to make a thrift store or yard sale find, or a back-of-my-closet find, and to turn it into something new and exciting. I challenge myself and others to keep various packaging to upcycle.
