I am Rach, two-and-twenty, imported from Texas! Plinker of plonks, maker of mulled wine, laugher of laughs, puller of funny faces, baker of cakes, stirrer of stews, dancer of jigs, drinker of ales (and wine...and whisky...oh, I do love a good drink!), reader of books, maker of music and creator of all things spangly!

I was born and raised in Texas, knitting scarves and hats and things that were never being used. Then, just like that, Scotsmen saved my life! I jumped across the pond and I've never been happier. My scarves and hats and things are of use in all this lovely cold weather!

I feel awkward in this time, as if I don't belong. I dance about the place, humming Patti Smith, wondering why people give me such funny looks. My morning ritual is David Bowie, tea, cigarette and sudoku. I love the languages of Europe and phoenetics, playing with words and the way things sound.

I'm just a silly hippie trying to make it in this crazy world (it would be a lot easier if those dirty gnomes would stop nicking all my stuff, though).
