Right well, I just spend 15 minutes writing this up before Etsy wiped it all because I had an exclamation mark in my favourite materials box lol serves me right for not reading it through.

This won't be as good as the first thing I wrote but here goes:

I've been crafting for years now, ever since I was a kid when I used to make clothes for my Barbie, and knit lots of socks and hats and scarves for everyone I knew - whether they wanted it or not! lol I did a lot of painting and drawing at that time too, and then started on embroidery, origami and papercrafts.

I moved on to making clothes for myself - anything from lingerie to coats - and clothes for other people - including bridesmaid dresses and formal wear. I started knitting for adults then too, usually chunky sweaters and cardigans, scarves, hats, gloves etc. Had a knitting machine at one point but gave up on that. Much prefer my sewing machine!

When I was at Uni I used to sell at craft markets and via word of mouth, mainly the soft crafts, craft bags, clothes, jewellry, baking, customised cakes, handmade chocolates and confectionery. I developed a little obsession for cross stitch and carried projects with me everywhere, and even managed to get other people interested in trying it, so I started teaching some classes. Being a librarian I am also interested in all things to do with books and studied conservation as part of my course. I have tried paper making and book binding, and have made a number of book related products over the years including customised book covers which of course help to protect the lovely books!

In recent years I have started making handbags in addition to craft bags and more customised book products and continued with the jewellry making, as well as card making and other papercrafts. I guess I just like working with my hands (when I get time)

The stock in the shop will be probably the book products, confectionery and handbags to start with and then I'll see how things go. I will be pretty busy in the next few weeks as Christmas is just around the corner!

*** Still working on adding more items for sale. However, please check out my cafepress shop and my zazzle shop if you like t-shirts, mugs, mousemats, bags, shoes, ties etc.

Favorite Materials

I like to work with all kinds of materials I can usually be inspired by just about anything but I do love fabric and thread and shiny beads just like a magpie really lol
