I am a primitive lover~
If it is smoothly covered in the perfect paint, I have my sandpaper block at the ready for a quick rubbing down to reveal the true colors underneath...
If it is bright white, I have an antiquing solution and a wood stove to bake the haughty crispness right out...
If it looks impudently polished I have a squirtbottle full of vinegar solution to erode away that smirky shinyness into a rusty patina...
If it is perfectly ironed or neatly sewn, I can make it look like it has been dragged behind a horse for 50 miles on a wet summer day...
As you can see, I'm not into perfection...

I love anything old and worn and used..don't raise your hand...and I tend to make new things look like they've seen a few centuries. Wrinkles, scars, imperfections, eccentricities..those are the things that make something or someone unique. My favorite things and people are rarely perfect.

I am always trying new mediums, fabrics, ideas and processes and once in a while I boldly take credit for creating something I think is pretty wonderful when really it was "an accident caused by overzealousness with craft supplies on hand, a few too many Diet Pepsis at 10 pm, wanton disregard for how it is done 'right' and reckless abandon with power tools...".
