Laura has been a spinner (mostly), a weaver (a little bit) and a knitter (a tiny bit) for over 20 years.

Laura sells her unique hats and scarves which she has either knitted, spun and knitted or woven or spun and woven or some other combination of these we haven't thought of!

However, Laura's main focus is her handspun yarns. Laura spins from her herd (of 3) pygora goats, Wookie, Winnie and Willow. She also spins other fibers prefering to spin specialty or exotic fibers such as alpaca, soy silk, mohair, angora, tencel and camel etc., although she also spins some wonderful wool as well.

Some of her most recent trips to aquire these fibers include (but are not limited to): her neighbors of "Alpacas in Wildcat Hollow" Eskridge, Kansas, local and national fiber festivals such as the "Wool Festival at Taos" as well as travels to other countries, most recently England, Wales and Scotland. She even got some fabulous camel down yarn from her local PBS television on air auction!

Laura's handspun yarn ranges from classic single and two ply yarns to her newest wild and exotic novelty blends which include found objects such as beads, feathers, fringe etc.

Each skein is spun on one of Laura's multiple spinning wheels. Her Lendrum upright (most of the bulky, crazy stuff) Her Lendrum Saxony, (most of the even 2 ply yarns) or her Babes Fiber spinner (anything spun out of doors in nature)
