Bio

My nanna taught me to knit when I was six, and I spent my childhood in the extravegant jumpers she'd made - liquorice allsorts, the snowman, 3D epics!
I inherited her collection of buttons housed in a biscuit tin, and regularly receive bundles of wool and bags of buttons from kindly old ladies who see me knitting on the train.
I make contemporary handmade jewellery and accessories, using vintage fabrics and recycled bits. Traditional skills like knitting are employed with fresh, novel results. Palettes are zesty and kitsch, complementing fabrics collected from sixties and seventies Europe.
The buttons from my nanna's collection are a trademark detail and add a fun, saccharine feature to everything I make.
The current collection includes brooches made from recycled trashy romantic novels and buttons, with a lucky penny on the back; hand knitted scarves with woven details; hand knitted mohair purses; vintage cotton purses and bags; and hand knitted Christmas tree decorations in fabulous colours.
