When I was in the 8th grade, our teacher went around the room asking what we wanted to be when we grew up. I said artist, and the whole class laughed--including the teacher. So much for that idea.

Fast forward many years (m.a.n.y. years), and I still haven't lost the desire. One day a few years ago, I realized one day that I did "art" all the time--just in a craft format and for friends.

Then I discovered eBay ... and now Etsy. I love etsy. Love it, I tell you. eBay is long gone as a place for my collages, and my etsy shop is filled with goodies.

One day, perhaps, it will be the hub of my own cottage business. With your help, of course...

Favorite Materials

Vintage papers, old books, magazines, letters, photos, checks, tickets, you name it, Tissue paper and napkins, I tear them apart and layer them on the paper, Newspapers, the newsprint makes a great transfer, as long as you dont mind it being backwards
