Bio

The Crocheted Baby has relocated to beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado, where I am indulging in a life-long love of crocheting.

Although I have crocheted for most of my life, it became a life-line while I fought and recovered from cancer and its treatment in 2007. If you've been through chemo and such, you know it sucks the life right out of you and it's difficult to find the strength to do much. Crocheting gave me a much needed activity to focus on and I fell in love with it all over again.

I started out focusing on baby socks, but have added 100% cotton bath accessories such as facial scrubbies and makeup remover pads as well as original crochet patterns.

I prefer to use natural fibers for the items I make - superwash wool blends, cotton blends and the beautiful new bamboo blend yarns for socks, and 100% cotton - organic if I can find it! - for the bath accessories. And when I am lucky enough to find a bamboo/wool/silk blend sock yarn - well, let's just say it is an absolute joy to crochet with it.

I am always on the lookout for new and distinctive colors to use cause not every baby wants to only wear pink or blue!
