Deborah D Harrington – HarringtonStudio

Artist Statement: Deborah’s Clothesline Art© sculptures are based on contrasting textures and use of space. The hard, dark, solid metals of the clotheslines contrast with the soft, light, translucent materials of the dresses. The arrangement of the materials in and on the metal creates a wonderful playfulness between the negative and positive spaces.
Deborah’s cigar boxes are is based on birds of the southwest, with the colors and textures of the birds forming from colors, labels and structure of each individual cigar box. She attempts to capture the essence of each bird in her contemporary style of painting.
