ABOUT PHOENIXJEMS:
The phoenix is a mythical creature that is reborn out of ruin. It is partner to the dragon. And it is the tattoo that covers my entire back, although you wouldn’t guess it if you met me on the street. :) I was an art major at Penn State University and a successful, professional photojournalist. Major back surgery caused me to reassess my goals, as well as look for less physically strenuous work. I am now a social worker, about to enter the doctorate program for social work at Rutgers University. But I keep my artistic life alive by creating jewelry.

QUALITY:
Beautiful jewelry is an artistic expression that every woman can wear and is entitled to own. You can’t have too much, although I do encourage you to spend your money on pieces you love that are handmade, instead of mass produced, overpriced, junk that you’ll toss in a year or two. My jewelry will withstand the test of time. I use high quality semi-precious stones and pearls. No glass or crystal unless it is a special accent piece, like a pendant. The semi-precious stones I use are not dyed. All my clasps, head pins, and wire wrapping are 925 sterling silver. Wire used is of the highest strength possible for the piece. .

I know you will be satisfied and that the materials and workmanship are high quality, however I also want to offer you the assurance that I will stand behind my work. If anything breaks, please contact me and we'll work something out. You may return any item within 7 days of receipt for a full refund, minus shipping. I appreciate feedback, but if you have something negative to say please contact me directly, as I work hard on my pieces and want the chance to correct any problems directly.

CUSTOM ORDERS:
I can accommodate custom orders for wedding parties or other special events. I have a number of styles that are appropriate, which you won’t see by looking at the stock in my store. Send me an email and I’ll send you my sample portfolio.

MAILING:
I've only listed regular mail, but if you’d like faster shipping, just email me. I’m flexible. All items will be mailed in 2-3 business days, but don’t be surprised if it gets out faster. I want you to have what you purchased as quickly as possible.

CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS:
At this time, ten percent of my profits, as well as 100% of certain designated items, will go to charities supported by the etsyforcharity team. I hope to increase that percentage in the future, but at this time I need to build up my stock and reinvest in the business. I am very concerned with social responsibility, so feel free to email me if you know of material sources that are particularly helpful, or hurtful, to local populations so that I can act accordingly.
