Thank you for visiting Glass Is A Gas Originals. I started my company in 1996 as a way to indulge my passion for having and using unique glassware and serving pieces to entertain with.

I have added a jewelry line to my shop. I started off doing jewelery in the 70's, when my daughter was small. Since I started glass is a gas I concentrated on the glass, but my passion for unique jewelry has prompted me to start creating again. I am in love with silver clay and am proud to offer many of my pieces here.

I have always wanted my painted glass to be distinctive from other artists who do similar things so I search for high quality and unusual pieces. They can be antique or new, whatever catches my eye. For my painted glass, I use only the best quality paints, which are designed for glass and porcelain. They are then heat set. They are very durable. I mix my own colors often times adding metallic that help produce the rich luminescent colors my work is noted for. I also love to use things such as glitter, crystals, gems, buttons, jewelry and anything that catches my eye.

For my jewelry, I search for quality crystal, silver and unusual charms or beads. I make silver clay pieces using both PMC and Art Clay.I am obsessed with this and hope to be doing much more in the future.

In addition I am making collage mirrors, which are a hoot and have been popular at the shows.


Please care for your hand painted glass pieces as you would any fine crystal and hand wash them.

I do commission work designed especially for you or I can work on a piece that you already own and love.

My wish is that each piece of my work will make its way to those who, like me, savor the unique and indulge life, and that they love having it as much as I loved making it.



Store Policies:

Your piece is one of a kind, and may not be replaceable if broken. To insure the integrity of the items I ship, I use great care in packaging and I insure the item. This is included in your shipping price.

If there is a problem with the piece when it arrives, hold the piece, in the original packaging, and contact me as soon as possible. I will either paint a replacement or something similar. You may choose another item of the same value, or I will refund if this is not possible.

If for any reason you are not happy with your piece contact me within 10 days. If the artwork is in its original, sale able condition, I will gladly replace it or refund your money.

Please note that if I ship an item out of the country, the shipping may be higher than quoted. I try very hard to keep shipping prices reasonable.

If payment is made by check, there will be a 10 day waiting period before the item is shipped.
