Bio

I am now offering a range of items screen printed with images from my mosaics. Please be aware that the copyright for all my items remains with me, the artist, and is not transferred on purchase of an original, whether it is a screenprint or mosaic. Thank you!

My work will be featured in the Turnpike Gallery in Leigh, in September :)

I now also have a display of my Jewellery in the Stone Cross Cafe in Lowton, so if you are local, check it out. (The food there is excellent) :)

About me :)

I've always had an unstoppable need to be creative. I started out weaving (many years ago) and first discovered glass when I went into a bead shop to find beads to decorate a bag I had made. I fell in love with glass there and then. :)

I have been making mosaics for over five years now, particularly favouring the Orsoni tiles made in Venice. I am most influenced by my trips abroad. It feels like I am painting with glass when I make a decorative mosaic :)

About my work:

I use my kiln to make fused glass focal pieces to go into my mosaics. The kiln has also been put to good use in making jewellery, I especially enjoy using the skills I have acquired through making mosaics in forming intricate designs in dichroic glass.

I favour bright, fun and funky designs, again often influenced by my love of travel or my love of ancient history. I have a degree in Archaeology and have travelled extensively around South East Asia and the Far East.
