Born and raised and...well, still living in the Pittsburgh area, I am on the board of a local historical society, and I frequently work in and around Gettysburg, which is my first love.
I am a member of the SCA (Shire of Gryffyn's Keep), an archer, sometime writer, director of my own living history company, a ghosthunter, bellydance dabbler, when I come home there's a husband and children who recognize me, so I guess they're mine...
I am in partnership with my mother, and it's a happy one. Much of the amazing jewelry on The Ebon Swan is by her hand as well. She is a retired nurse who finally found an outlet for at least one of her many hobbies.

Store policies - The Fine Print
-Please get your payment to me as soon as you can...if you are paying by some other means than Paypal, please let me know so I know to be looking for it.
-If I hear nothing from you and your payment is not in within 7 business days, I will be forced to relist the items and appropriate feedback will apply. I will attempt to contact you at least three times before this, both through convos and email.
-Yes, I barter (with other etsy merchants only, please) and trade. I will consider "layaway", deposits and "reserve" items, please convo me and we'll hash out the details.
-International buyers, I will accept Paypal payments only. I wish I could take other forms, but my bank keeps yelling at me.
-I ship on the next "shipping day" after your payment is received and cleared. Generally, I ship twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. If things are hopping, it may go up to once a day. I give feedback just as soon as I return from the post office, so you'll know your package is on its way. Insurance is optional, but certainly encouraged, for an additional fee. Remember, once your package leaves my hands, there is little I can do unless it is insured with a tracking number. Shipping is through USPS 1st class unless specified otherwise.
-If you would like me to ship to another address than the one in your profile and/or Paypal account (such as for a gift), please let me know ahead of time. I'm happy to do it, just warn me.
-If there is a problem with your item/package, please let me know as soon as possible so that we may work things out. After 10 days I assume that you are happy with your purchases and will not consider exchanges or returns.
-Please let me know that you've received your package by leaving me feedback. That way I quit fretting about your items and all the loose ends are tied off. :)
-I reserve the right to refuse sales due to lack of payment, retaliatory or uncalled-for negative feedback, abusive language during communications, or any other unpleasantness that I haven't thought of yet. I love my customers, but there's only so much I'll put up with. ;)
