Bio

I was born and raised in the State of Maine. I especially love our coast, as rocky as it is.

I find beach combing relaxing, interesting, and just fun! I never know what I going to find so it's kind of a treasure hunt for me. Thinking about how that piece of pottery, glass got there and how many decades did it take to produce this beautiful piece of sea glass or what happened to the creatures in the shells; did the birds eat them, cycle of life.

I've experimented with many medias, watercolor, pencil, ink, oils, you name it, but I always find myself returning to the sea for inspiration! Why not use the ordinary in my creations or what I considered ordinary, since Maine has such an abundance of periwinkles on our Coast. I truly never noticed how many different sizes, shapes, colors of periwinkles.
