My name is Denise. I'm a crafter in Columbus, Ohio, and the editor of http://www.PussycatMagazine.com .

I love monsters, tikis, retro fabrics, vintage sewing patterns, old magazines and just about everything DIY.

This shop is contributing to me dream: To open a tiki bar in my hometown. A real, classic, awesome, carved wood tikis all around feel-like-you-are-drinking-mai-tais-on-an-island tiki bar right here in the Midwest.

I'm a former New Orleans Bourbon Street bartender, so I have plenty of mixed drinks under my belt. My love of tiki started in utero, when my parents went to Hawaii while mom was 8 months pregnant. I even got to "see" Don Ho!

Birthday and celebration dinners at the Kahiki fueled the fire, as did three more trips to Hawaii. Now, I am dedicating all of my craft and spare income to saving for this goal.

You will be seeing more tiki themed items in the shop soon. I am working on a line of original tiki rubber stamps, jewelry, and housewares.
