About the Artist

R. L. COSENTINO lives and works in Montreal, Quebec. Of southern Italian decent, her inspirations are very European. She has had many exhibitions and is collected on an International level. She is the two time recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Grant, (a prestigious International Realist Artist Grant given sparingly). She has won numerous competitions. She has been in many exhibitions in Canada, USA, Europe, & Asia. She has also Juried on the Canada Council for the Arts. She is often seeked for private and corporate commissions for high realistic oil portraits or huge cake paintings. Claimed to be the artist to begin the Old Masterism movement back in 1998. She began painting a day in her early years as a student in the '90's, and has continued this project on a more serious note till today. She is part of the following: RAAV, CARFAC, CARFCC, SODART, COPIBEC & soon EBSQ & Portrait Society of Canada.
