Bio

I am the Angela Black part of Random Paper & Fabric. I have always loved art and have painted my whole life. After graduating from Saint Thomas University I traveled across Canada. In BC opportunities for artists abounded, it was then that I decided that I would love to make my own money, crafting and selling my art at home, in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

My biggest interest is creating amazing watercolor and ink pop-up cards with unique messages in them. I have a wide variety of production cards, but also create special orders for special senders. I am inspired by graphic artists and outline everything in black unless my roommate forces me not to. But watercolor backgrounds and lots of color are the main components of my cards and artwork.

A self taught artist, I have decided that it would be awesome to take some classes and get some insight from some serious professional artists and teachers. I am learning how to use images more efficiently, screenprinting clothing instead of painting directly onto fabric. I am also learning a lot of new techniques both artistically and in marketing.

In the future I want to take my artwork on the road going to art shows, craft markets, and festivals, personally interacting with each and every person who falls in love with my creations.
